Would you like to learn to play the bagpipes or how about the drums? Maybe you would like to learn Scottish dancing?

The Clan Lindsay Association, USA is proud to provide assistance (charitable and educational) to men and women of Scottish descent and to their lineal descendants. Each year, the Council devotes a considerable amount of the budget to Scholarships which are available to applicants of all ages so that they can pursue the study of Scottish Arts.

The Three Funds

Clan Lindsay Association U.S.A, Inc. awards scholarships from two funds:

  • The Katy Smith Scholarship Fund
    Designated for non-members of Clan Lindsay
  • James B. Pressly Memorial Scholarship
    Designated for members of Clan Lindsay or members of their immediate family
  • Marty Thurmond Memorial Fund
    Marty Thurmond Memorial Fund. Designated for piping and/or drumming. Available for members and non members.
  • Lindsay Alexander Scholarship Fund

The Arts

If you are studying:

  • Any other Scottish study

(For the purposes of these scholarships,
the “study of golf” is not eligible.)

We encourage you to apply for financial assistance.

Applicants need not be a member of Clan Lindsay, although members are certainly encouraged to apply. The deadline for submitting your application is April 1st of each year.
